Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between DSR and DTI?

DTI only counts mortgage principal+interest plus the interest portion of other loans. DSR counts principal+interest for nearly all loans (credit loans, card loans, student loans, etc.), making it a much stricter standard.

Why does Stress DSR exist?

Variable-rate loans can become harder to repay if rates rise later. Stress DSR accounts for this risk in advance by screening loans using a higher 'stress rate' instead of the current rate.
