βœ‚οΈ PNG Auto Image Cropper

Automatically Crop to Fit the Content, No Extra Margin

Automatically detects the empty space around an element in a transparent-background image and crops tightly to the actual content. Especially useful for stock site submissions that require a margin-free bounding box around the subject.

Drag image file(s) here, or choose files (multiple allowed)

Only PNGs with a transparent background are supported. Other backgrounds can't be detected accurately enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does it only support transparent backgrounds?

We initially tried auto-detecting solid-color backgrounds too (like white), but in practice it sometimes mistook bright elements or anti-aliased edges for the background β€” the accuracy wasn't good enough. Rather than risk incorrect results, we kept only the part that works reliably: detection based on a transparent PNG's alpha channel.

What happens if I upload an image with a white background?

If no transparency is detected, the image is left uncropped as-is. Please remove the background (make it transparent) in Photoshop or another tool before uploading.

Why is there a margin option?

Cropping perfectly tight (0 margin) can look too cramped depending on the use case, so this lets you leave a bit of breathing room if needed. Set it to 0 for a perfectly tight crop.

Can I upload multiple images at once?

Yes, select multiple files at once and each is processed independently. Select a file from the list to see its result larger, and download individually or all together as a ZIP.

Is my image sent to a server?

No, uploaded images are processed entirely in your browser and never sent to a server.
