Why add a white outline to emoticons?
Messaging app chat backgrounds vary (sky blue, dark theme, etc.), so a light-colored character without an outline can blend into the background. A white outline keeps the character visible on any background.
What if each character is in a separate file?
Select multiple files at once β each is processed independently. Select a file from the list to view its result large, and download individually or all as a ZIP.
If I change the thickness or color, does it reapply to files I already uploaded?
Yes, changing a setting automatically reapplies it to every uploaded file.
Is the outline edge anti-aliased, or hard/pixelated?
It's anti-aliased β the actual distance to the nearest character pixel is computed per pixel, so the edge fades smoothly to transparent rather than cutting off abruptly.
Does the outline stay round on sharp curves (like a hook or loop)?
Yes β the outline is computed using true circular (Euclidean) distance rather than a square approximation, so it stays a uniform round thickness even around tight curves.
